Nine men have been on a hunger strike in Miami for more than two weeks to bring attention to gun violence — because for many people in Miami’s black neighborhoods, gun violence is a constant part of daily life. The Hunger 9 don’t have a list of demands, they want to raise awareness and create a dialogue about gun violence in their community.
